Finding Peace.....When Life Hurts It is sad when people suffer. Did you know that God did note create suffering...God did not want mankind to hurt or to feel sorrow. Suffering entered the world when sin entered the world. Read Romans 5:12. Have you ever considered that if sin had not entered the world, there would be no death...no sorrow...no suffering? Some become angry at God for the pain that is in their life. That anger should be directed at sin, not at God. If it were not for sin, we would still be in the beautiful Garden of Eden. If it were not for sin, we would all go to Heaven.
Jesus Christ understands suffering. He suffered more than any man while dying on the cross. Read Isaiah 52:14, Mark 15:15-37. His suffering was for you. It really was!
What way do you suffer? All we know is that Jesus Christ can give you strength to make it through what you are facing, Philippians 4:13. He will not allow you to be overcome with more than you can handle if you trust Him, I Corinthians 10:13. Have you ever considered that your suffering may be something God brought into your life so you would see your need for Him?
Before focusing on your pain and suffering, have you ever considered why God intentionally sent His Son to suffer and die for people like us? According to John 3:16, God's love for us is demonstrated by His willingness to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die for our benefit. Take a few moments to read and think about John 3:16. His death, andshed blood, cleanses the sins of all who turn to Him. His suffering paid for our sins.... Oh how He loves us! If you will make Christ your Lord he will cleanse you too.
